Just saw a news report about the demonstrations against the cuts in Scotland. A few people had placards with the "I told you so" slogan and an image of Karl Marx. We're paying for the mess the government's pals got us into (i.e. the WBankers), MPs are fiddling their expense, two sent to jail today, and the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer. Make's you wonder if capitalism is working! Mind you it doesn't make any difference who's in power because when those bastards get power all they want is money or to make sure their pals get more money. It seems the only reason most scumbags decide to get into Parliament.
Then there's the documentary about people who get top jobs in the UK which also reinforces the idea of the "Old-Boy" network. It goes like this-
Rich folk send their kids to private school -> Good grades in exams -> Top University (Oxford or Cambridge) -> Walk into top job because those hiring either went to the same or similar private school or university -> Can afford to send your kids to private school!!!!!! So the cycle starts again and the rest is history. Well it's the history of rich people.
