Along with "I'll love you in the morning" and "The cheque's in the post" the politician's mantra that "The electorate is intelligent enough to see what's best for the country", meaning of course themselves, are examples of lies which if you had half a brain you would never believe. Yet at every election politicians insist that the electorate are generally smart enough to logically decide on the policies presented to them. But here's a bulletin, MOST PEOPLE ARE STUPID.
